Matt Edwards is a husband, father, and filmmaker. He is the Executive Director of Citizens Alliance of Idaho, a statewide 501(c)(4) nonprofit legislator accountability project founded in 2021. The organization created The Pledge, which outlines ten statements inspired by Idaho and the U.S. Constitutions and asks every Idaho legislator to sign.

Matt has spent a career in storytelling in the film, television, and digital media business and brings his experience in touching the hearts and minds of people to Idaho politics.

Previously, Matt was Vice President of a 501(c)(3) filmmaker nonprofit organization that connected emerging filmmakers and writers with like-minded professionals in the entertainment business by issuing grants, fellowships, and mentoring opportunities.

Matt has executive produced over 40 short film projects. Before that, Matt worked for productions on History, TruTV, Spike TV, and Travel Channel.

After the pandemic stopped all film productions and networking events, Matt relocated his family to North Idaho, where he and his wife founded a small production company. Matt enjoys spending time with his young children, volunteering at his church, and cooking fantastic meals.
